PRODUCT PARAMETERS

Overview

A nickel chromium molybdenum alloy welding wire. It has a relatively low concentration of carbon and silica in its composition and has excellent corrosion resistance and high strength. Some typical base metals that this alloy is used on are ASTM and ASME B and SB 574, 575, 619, 622 and 626.

ErNiCrMo-13 consists primarily of nickel (Ni), chromium (Cr), molybdenum (Mo), and small amounts of iron (Fe). The typical composition is approximately 55% nickel, 16% chromium, 16% molybdenum, 5% iron, and other trace elements. This composition provides ErNiCrMo-13 with its exceptional corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.

Corrosion Resistance

ErNiCrMo-13 exhibits outstanding resistance to corrosion in a variety of aggressive environments, including:

Strong Oxidizing Agents: It resists corrosion from oxidizing agents such as nitric acid, chlorine, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide.

Acids: ErNiCrMo-13 provides excellent resistance to corrosion in both reducing and oxidizing acids, including sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, and acetic acid.

Chlorides: It has excellent resistance to chloride-induced pitting and crevice corrosion, making it suitable for applications in marine environments and chloride-containing solutions.

Seawater: ErNiCrMo-13 is highly resistant to corrosion in seawater, making it suitable for marine and offshore applications.

High-Temperature Performance

ErNiCrMo-13 retains its mechanical strength and corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures, making it suitable for high-temperature applications. It can withstand temperatures up to approximately 1,000°C (1,800°F) without significant loss of mechanical properties.
